Let me catch my breath after reading this and find the words to describe the depth of my love for this book. It’s an emotional punch to the stomach but I want to read it again. It’s hauntingly beautiful and full of hope, unconditional love, and an amazing family that has your back above all. The worlds and characters that Michele Notaro has expertly and cleverly weaved are beyond words. They’re so real you feel like you’re in the thick of the nonstop, intense action, are about to sit down and eat a rowdy dinner with the Ellwoods, or get a much needed calming Sebastian hug.Jorah and his viramore are heartbreaking. These two shattered my emotions and I sobbed while reading this book but they’re also adorable, wondrous, incredible and inspiring. With each word they shared, with each sigh and touch, with every smile, they pieced me back together and made me whole. “He was warmth and sun and sea and love. And mine. He was mine, I could feel his soul taking root inside mine, and I knew nothing would be the same again.” I won’t ever be the same after reading this book but I know I’m better for it. There’s so much heart and love with these two and this family that I soaked it in from the pages. If books were food, I’d never go hungry again as this is a feast for the soul. Of course it wouldn’t stop me from asking for seconds, thirds and fourths and with the ending, I’ll need to squeeze in room for dessert as I now have an undeniable craving for Talon. So don’t hesitate, immerse yourself in this phenomenal world and fall in love. If you have followed along with ellwood bunch through all the books and trial and tribulations they all dealt with I hate to tell ya but this book with break just a little I’m not gonna lie I cried a few times basil and Ailen have always been my favorites but Jorah since book one has captivated me this book isn’t as detailed as the one when seb got caught by the orcs but it makes your heart bleed just the same ! I’m so excited for talon book but also bittersweet about knowing that it’s the last book in the life of the amazing family we’ve all come to know and loveIf you haven’t read any of the series don’t read this one yet it should definitely not be read as a stand alone to many characters and you would get lost !
